Alcatraz

The trip to Alcatraz went fine although my head was pounding hard so i didn't enjoy it like i should have.

It took a 15 mins ferry ride to get to the "Rock". The island was pretty big. With a small village essentially for the officers' settlement.

The tour inside was very interesting too! I don't get to see prisons much even during tours. You can see the cells, the rooms... and how the prisoners used to live. Just 15 mins away from San Francisco... it must have been painful.

But unfortunately i wasn't feeling good. So i sadly decided to skip the muir woods/sausalito/golden gate tour to go back to the hotel and rest. And it was such a good day too!

Got a clam chowder on the way back but didn't eat it until like 10 pm after i woke up from a long slumber. Wanted to get room service but they were already closed. So had to make do with cold chowder. Ah well tomorrow i hope i will be better. Yosemite here i come!
